UYN apparel for cycling adventures
After his early return from Antarctica and waiting to get back to the planet’s most remote region, our ultra-cyclist Omar Di Felice is off on a new adventure. Get ready to follow him to Ladakh (India), one of the highest and coldest regions on earth.
1200 km solo over the highest passes on Earth
Ladakh is a high-altitude desert nestled between Himalayan glaciers. In this ‘Little Tibet of India’, temperatures in winter drop to -30°, forcing the local populations to migrate south.
Starting in Manali, without a support team, Omar will cycle through this region to the summit of Khardung La, at an altitude of 5359 metres. On his way he will pass some peaks above 5000 metres, such as Shinku-La (5031 m).
