Running in the coldest place in Italy

Over the past few days, our ultra-runner Paolo Venturini has been training on the Asiago plateau and on the Marcesina plain (between the provinces of Vicenza and Trento), a place known as the ‘Finland of Italy’ because temperatures can drop to -40°.

Paolo ran at dawn on the frozen surface of Lake Lonaba. This training was part of a long series of tests in preparation for the extreme adventure on Lake Bajkal, in Siberia. On this occasion, the ultra-runner was able to put UYN technical apparel to the test and provide valuable feedback to our research and development team.

Running in extreme temperatures requires meticulous preparation and special technical apparel. But also for our daily training in winter, it is important to carefully choose the right clothing. This allows us to get the most out of our training, prevent unpleasant injuries and – not to be underestimated – boost our motivation!

These are the most recommended UYN products by our ambassadors for your winter runs.
