UYN U.S. kicks off spring introduction at iconic Boston Marathon with Trend, premier Newbury Street retailer

Following on the heels of last weeks official press release announcing UYNs official introduction in the U.S, read by 225.4 million unique readers, we are excited to share that this evening, UYN will tap into the contagious excitement of the historic Boston Marathon, hosting a launch event with Italian hospitality to debut our line with Trend, a leading footwear and apparel retailer. Located on Bostons famous Newbury Street in swanky Back Bay, Trend is the gateway to where fashion meets function. Trend is in good company with the likes of Marc Jacobs, Chanel, and Ralph Lauren, and trendy boutiques such as Pink and Rag & Bone.

Amateur and professional runners from all over the world compete in the Boston Marathon each year, braving the hilly Massachusetts terrain and varying weather to take part in the race. The event attracts 500,000 spectators each year, making it New England’s most widely viewed sporting event.

We know that the 30,000 athletes from more than 100 countries participating this year would love nothing more than to treat their feet to our unique designs both before and after a marathon! We are excited to debut our proprietary product line not presently available in the U.S.: a completely new shoe concept in the U.S, entirely derived from socks: our new running socks, the world’s first without cuff for maximum performance, and our 100% bio-based clothing made using next-generation biomaterials.

Specifically, Trend will offer the following styles – mens and womens Nature Tune and Washi, and from the Urban Trail collection: Urban Trail Naked, Urban Trail Circular and the mens Urban Trail Mushroom.

We are incredibly honored to welcome the iconic Team Hoyt. Family members of Dick Hoyt, who competed in 32 Boston Marathons pushing his son Rick in a wheelchair, will be attending to help raise awareness and funds for their team which provides inclusion grants to families with children with disabilities. Specifically, Dicks sons and their families, alongside runners from Team Hoyt will join us and UYN will be contributing to their drive for donations so they may reach their official Boston Marathon goals. For anyone that has been a fan of the Boston Marathon, the vision of Dick pushing his son Rick is a long lasting memory for this respected global running event and it speaks to the heart and soul of Boston.

Bonus points: Our guests will have a chance to enter our raffle which includes giving away two pairs of UYN shoes and three pairs of UYN running socks. Special store discounts will be available during this special evening.

What an amazing way to join the Boston community where we will open our offices and first store in the U.S. later this year.
